Cucumber Mint Water is an excellent and refreshing way to get the h20 your body is craving!
Experts recommend 64 oz. of water every day for our bodies to function properly. Some even recommend an entire gallon of water. When we don’t drink enough water throughout the day, we start to feel sluggish, we have trouble concentrating and generally just feel blah. Keeping our bodies hydrated is vital for the brain, organs, blood and every other cell in the body to function properly. Think of how much better you’d feel if you just added more water to your day. It’s such a simple thing to do, yet a lot of people just don’t do it.
Has anyone ever told you to drink a glass of water before dinner so that you won’t over eat? The experts say that sometimes when we think we are hungry, our bodies are really just dehydrated and craving water!
Drinking adequate water is a simple habit to form!
Every night before I go to bed, I fill a pitcher with water, cucumber slices and a couple of sprigs of fresh mint. To really get a big infusion of flavor, I give the mint a couple of twists which releases their natural oils before I toss them in with the cucumbers. I don’t like to take the leaves off of the stem because they tend to end up in your mouth if they are floating around in the glass. I don’t like the leaves in my mouth.
When I wake up, I drink two 8 oz. glasses of the cucumber mint water before I get my coffee. It’s really important to drink water when you wake up because your body is in a mild state of dehydration.
There’s no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, just good ole Mother Nature in a glass. It’s meant to be light, refreshing and something you’ll be happy to drink throughout the day. Your skin will start to look better and the puffy eyes and dark circles from fatigue will start to go away among other really amazing things.
Cold Cucumber Mint water is so refreshing and hydrating! Especially in hotter months when we really need to be conscious of our water intake.
